There are many people who would like to see an end to pet ownership for many 'reasons'.

Including;
* Religious beliefs (animals are believed to be 'dirty')
* Some of the more radical vegetarian and vegan promoters (although many vego friends of ours have pets!)
* PETA (People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals) (from CEO Ingrid Newkirk speech!) 
* Some local government councils
* Some landlords, real estate agents and bodies corporate

And now it seems an animal's 'carbon footprint' is being questioned... when will all the nonsense end?
